The first screen where you click "Play Free Trial" or "Play Now" works like any internet page, even though it may not look like it. This page uses your internet browsing settings, there may be something there that prevents the game to start. Unfortunately, due to the huge number of browser helper applications (toolbars, etc) that most computers have, it is difficult to know for sure what is causing this problem. The "Buy" button works because it is simply a link to another internet page (the order page), while the "Play" button is blocked probably because it links to an executable file (the game). Uninstalling the game and then redownloading it may help. Also check you security software such as pop-up blocker, firewall, etc.
